Augusta, GA - Carolina University Women's Volleyball played in the NCCAA DI South Region Chamionship Tournament on Friday, November 18th. Coming into the Championships, the Bruins were 22-7 on their regular season. Carolina University competed against Paine College, who was 3-20. Earlier in the season, CU beat Paine 2 times, each in a sweep. The Bruins were ready for this postseason matchup and started off the first set with a score of 25-15. The Lions struggled to respond and CU rolled in the next two sets, finishing with a final score of 3-0.Â
Carolina U showed a strong team effort and had several key players contribute to the win. Giulia La Longa had match-high 13 kills and 3 aces, and also recorded 3 blocks and 9 digs. Kamra King had a match-high 31 assists and 3 aces. Chiara Mottola recorded 8 kills, 2 blocks, and led the team with 11 digs. Rebecca Walker recorded 3 aces and 9 digs.Â
