Point Lookout, MO - Carolina University played in the NCCAA National Championship Tournament on December 1st. CU faced #1 Columbia International University and #5 Judson University. The Bruins had a challenging first match against CIU. The Rams overpowered CU in the first two sets but the Bruins came up just shy in the third set. Columbia finished the match with a final score of 3-0. Giulia La Longa recorded a team high 14 kills and 1.0 blocks. Kamra King had a team high 18 assists. Rebecca Walker recorded a team high 16 digs.Â
The second match of the day against Judson University was no easier for the Bruins. The Eagles won the first set by just three points but stretched their momentum in the next two sets. CU made an effort for a comeback but were unable to match Judson's presence. JU completed the match with a final score of 3-0. Giulia La Longa led the team with 14 kills. Precious Heaven Hollins had a team high 3.0 blocks. Kamra King recorded 21 assists and 13 digs.Â
