Greenville, SC - Carolina University Women's Volleyball faced Paine College for their first match of the day on Saturday, October 1st at 2:00 pm. This was Carolina U's second match of the season against Paine College, a South Region NCCAA opponent. Similar to the last match, the Bruins won in a sweep taking all three sets with ease.
The Bruins continued to tap into their depth to fill gaps on the court. Giulia La Longa had a great game recording match-high 17 kills and 4 aces, as well as 9 digs. Nicole Laezza recorded a match-high 12 assists followed by Keira Zarger and Kamra King, each with 7. Chiara Mottola had a match-high 15 digs and recorded 8 kills.Â
The win moves CU to 11-4 on the season and 6-0 in NCCAA play. It sets the stage for a big showdown with Bob Jones University for the second match of the day. BJU is also having a strong season and is a perennial rival.Â
