Greenville, SC -Â CU Women's Volleyball played against Bob Jones in their second match of the day. Bob Jones University is 15-5 in the season and came into the match winning their last 7 matches in a row. BJU took the lead right away and never looked back. After winning the first set they maintained momentum and won the match in a sweep.Â
Despite the tough outcome, these players stood out for CU. Kamra King recorded 25 assists, 1 ace and 6 digs. Chiara Mottola had 15 digs, 8 kills, 1.0 block, and 1 ace. Giulia La Longa recorded 12 kills and 1 ace.Â
Carolina University looks to recover this week and play in another tri-match next Saturday, October 8th against NAIA opponents Truett McConnell University and St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, NC. Truett McConnell is 10-11 for the season and beat CU earlier this season at the Bruin Invitational. This will be the first time Carolina U plays St. Andrews this season, who is now 2-13.
