Box Score 2 Laurinburg, NC - Carolina University Women's Volleyball played in a tri-match with Truett McConnell University and St. Andrews University on Saturday, October 8th. The Bruins started the day with a match against Truett McConnell, taking the lead after winning the first set 25-17. Truett answered back, in a close set with a score of 26-24 to take the match 1-1. TMU kept up the momentum and proceeded to win the next two sets with a final score of 3-1.Â
Carolina U's second match of the day was against St. Andrews University. The Knights were dominant on the court and won with a final score of 3-0. Kamra King recorded 16 assists and 16 digs. Giulia La Longa had 10 kills followed by Chiara Mottola with 8 kills.Â
The Bruins will be on the road at Toccoa Falls for another tri-match on Monday, October 10th to play against Toccoa Falls College and Johnson & Wales University. This will be the second matchup of the season against Toccoa Falls who is 8-5. CU will face Johnson & Wales for the first time this season. JWU is 10-14 so far and has lost their last 4 matches.
