Virginia Beach, VA - Carolina University Women's Soccer played against the Great Lakes Christian Crusaders on Saturday, October 15th. The Bruins were strong out of the gate and scored in the 8th minute. They maintained the lead and scored again at 38:07 to make the score 2-0. After the break, CU scored again at 47:25 and kept the momentum offensively. Carolina UÂ continued to dominate, scoring twice in the 83rd minute of the match and finishing with a score of 5-0.Â
Aaliyah Rubio scored the first goal of the match with an assist by Angie Hernandez Victorino at 7:00. Natasha Mariam scored at 38:07 and at 82:22 assisted by Mary Jester and Sheila Ramirez-Aguilar. Yaqueline Lopez Hernandez scored at 47:25. Alessandra Lopez scored at 82:23. Sarah Walters played goalie for the first 65 minutes, recording one save, and Alondra Ramone played goalie for the remaining 25 minutes of the match.Â
The Bruins will turn around and play another match tomorrow, October 16th at Regent University. Regent University is 2-7 on the season. Carolina University is now 9-3-1 and hopes to keep their momentum on the road. Let's go Bruins!
