Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University Men's Soccer hosted St. Andrews University on Wednesday, October 12th at 6:00 pm. St. Andrews was 6-2-2 coming into the match. The Bruins were 7-2 and were looking for a comeback after their previous loss. CU scored in the 14th minute and went unanswered for the remainder of the first half. The scoreboard saw more action after the break as the Knights scored in the 55th minute, taking the score to 1-1. It wasn't long before the Bruins took the ball down the field to score a goal in the 60th minute and again in the 64th minute, taking the lead at 3-1. St. Andrews was able to convert a shot at 80:54 but Carolina U put the match away for good with a final score in the 88th minute. The final score was 4-2 for the CU Bruins.

Freshman Jordan Julien (3) scored the first two goals for Carolina University, assisted by Samuel Griffiths and Luke Spillane-Davis. Mario Salinas (4) scored the third goal for CU and was assisted by Aidan Fletcher. Francisco Tapia (7) scored the final goal of the match. William Cothill played goalie for the duration of the match and recorded 3 saves. 

The Bruins are now 8-2 on the season and will be at Regent University on Sunday, October 16th. Regent University is 1-8-1 and lost their last match against Bob Jones University. CU hopes to secure another victory on the road against this NCCAA DI Regional opponent. Live Stream will be available.
