Women's Volleyball Drops Road Match

TOCCOA FALLS, GA -- Carolina University Women's Volleyball played at Toccoa Falls College on Friday, September 17th. The Bruins had just lost a heartbreaker at home the night before, but were on the road early to play the NCCAA TFC Eagles. The Eagles entered the game at 3-6, but proved to be spoilers to the Bruins. Toccoa Falls won the first set 25-21 due to a 5-0 run late. Carolina University looked to bounce back in the second set, but with the set tied at 23 it was Toccoa Falls that prevailed to take the 2-0 lead. The Eagles would go on to win the third set 25-18 and win the match 3-0.

The Bruins were led in kills by Destinee Hardamon and Zianna Shinhoster who each had 7. Kylie Kay also chimed in with 5 kills. For the first time this season, Regan Adams led CU in assists with 14. This was a career-high mark in assists for Adams. Carolina University now moves to 4-3 on the season, but believes they can rebound from this tough stretch.

The Bruins will next play at Bluefield College on Thursday, September 23rd. The Rams are 7-6, but will host Kentucky Christian University prior to the meeting with CU. This match can be watched via LiveStream, but Bluefield College is currently not allowing spectators in the gym at this time.
