ROCKY MOUNT, NC -- Carolina University Men's Soccer was on the road Wednesday night to play North Carolina Wesleyan College. The Bruins entered the match on a 3-game winning streak, but the Battling Bishops were sure to be a good test. NC Wesleyan took advantage of the home field early and scored a goal in the 7th minute. Carolina University was able to right the ship after that and control the ball, but they still entered the half down 1-0. The Battling Bishops struck again early in the second half and led 2-0 with 38 minutes remaining. Try as they might, the Bruins could not convert to cut into the lead. NC Wesleyan would ice the game with a goal at the 80:24 mark and win by a final score of 3-0.

Luke Spillane-Davis, who attempted 3 of the Bruins' 6 shots and put 1 on goal.
Heymans Bacallao Martinez was back in goal for the Bruins and allowed 3 goals, but did earn 4 saves. The Bruins are now 3-2 on the season and will look to be back at full strength for their home match on Saturday, September 18th. Carolina University will host Randolph College at BB&T Soccer Park for a 7:00PM game. Spectators are welcome at this site and a LiveStream will be available.
