WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- Carolina University Men's Soccer opened the season against Regional Rival, Columbia International University on Saturday, August 28th. The Rams entered the match with a 1-0 record, but the Bruins looked strong out of the gate. Carolina University controlled possession for much of the first half. Unfortunately, this didn't lead to any goals for the Bruins. The Rams took advantage of a lull late in the first half to punch in 2 goals in the 32nd and 36th minute. CIU would have a 3-0 lead at the half and took a commanding 4-0 lead early in the second. Columbia International would go on to win the game by a final score of 6-0.

The Bruins will look to bounce back when they travel to Brevard College on Thursday, September 2nd. Brevard will be 1-0 after defeating Southern Wesleyan to open up the season. Carolina University will play at 7:00pm ET with LiveStream and LiveStats links available on cubruins.com.
