WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- Bruins' Baseball hosted Johnson University for the second game of a double-header at Truist Stadium on Friday, April 16th. Carolina University won the first game 8-4 and carried that momentum over into game 2. The Bruins dominated in the first inning scoring 8 total runs. Carolina University backed up the offensive fire power with excellent defense and cruised to an 11-0 victory.
Kaleb Whitaker earned the victory with a complete game shut out on Friday night. Whitaker struck out 4 batters and allowed 0 walks.
John Giboyeaux was excellent for the Bruins again. Giboyeaux went 2-3 at the plate with 2 doubles, 4 RBIs, and crossed home plate twice. Giboyeaux is on a tear lately batting .609 with 13 RBIs over the last 6 games.

Cade Fletcher each had 2 hits. In addition to those hits, Deegan scored 3 runs and Fletcher had a double.
Carolina University is now 13-13 and will close out the regular season against Johnson University on Saturday, April 17th at Mando Field with a first pitcher scheduled for noon ET.
