MILLIGAN, TN -- Carolina University Softball was on the road at Milligan University for a double-header on Wednesday, April 7th. The Bruins were fresh off a sweep at Converse College, but Milligan was sure to be a formidable opponent entering the day with a 20-4 record on the year. The Buffs got off to a hot start scoring 2 runs in the first inning. Milligan would add another run in the second. The usually explosive Bruin Offense just couldn't get going today and was shut out for just the second time this season. Milligan University would win the game with that final score of 3-0.

Danielle Brooks was on the mound for the Bruins and struck out 6 in this strong outing. Offense was the issue for the Bruins as Kalea Bolch got the only hit of the day going 1-2. Maggie Smith was also able to reach base on a walk.

The Bruins will look to turn it around in the second game of the day and try to come home with a split against this NAIA opponent.
