WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- Carolina University Men's Volleyball hosted Bluefield College on Wednesday, February 24th. The Rams jumped out early, but the Bruins were able to bounce back. After exchanging a few small runs in the first set, Bluefield was up 23-16. The Bruins mounted a 5-0 run to get within 2 of the lead. However, Bluefield found an answer and won the first set 25-21. The Rams came out hot in the second set and built an early lead that would be too much for the Bruins to overcome. In the third set, Carolina University was able to challenge again. The Bruins were very close, but couldn't quite string a run together and would fall 25-16. Bluefield College won the match 3-0.
The Bruins were led by
Tijhmir Glasco. Glasco did a little bit of everything and had a game-high 21 assists, 4 digs, 2 blocks and 1 ace.
Steven Wilson led the Bruins with 7 kills.
Brady Bartlett was close behind with 6 kills and 1 ace. Dylan Osbourne proved to be a factor at the net as he earned a game-high 4 blocks.
Carolina University had been off for a month prior to this match and will look to build on this performance next week. The Bruins will host Reinhardt University on Tuesday, March 2nd.
