BLUEFIELD, VA -- Carolina University Men's Volleyball took on Bluefield College on Saturday, March 20th. Earlier this season the Bruins hosted the Rams, but fell 0-3. Carolina University started off the match strong and exchanged points with Bluefield. The Rams were able to go on a 7-0 run in the first set that led to a 25-15 victory. Bluefield maintained that momentum and used a couple of similar runs to win the second set by a final score of 25-16. The Rams were just too much in the third set and the Bruins fell 25-14 and lost the match 0-3.
The Bruins battled and had several strong individual performances.
Tijhmir Glasco led the team in assists (16) and digs (12).
Steven Wilson had 9 kills and was helped at the net by
Ronald Smart who had 5 kills and 3 blocks.
Wesley Diggs also had a nice game with 10 digs, 1 ace and 1 assist.Â
The Bruins will play Thomas More University next as their second game of a tri-match hosted by Bluefield College.
