Men's Volleyball Challenges Thomas More

BLUEFIELD, VA -- The Carolina University Men's Volleyball Team faced off against the Thomas More Saints as a part of a tri-match hosted by Bluefield College. The first set between the Bruins and Saints was incredible and could not be contained to just 25 points. The two teams went back and forth and would not allow the other an edge. There were 16 different game points served throughout the course of this first set. Carolina University gave Thomas More all they could handle, but in the end it was the Saints who survived this marathon with a 40-38 first set win. The second set was also extremely competitive, but the Bruins just couldn't quite keep pace and fell 19-25. Carolina University battled again in the third set and exchanged the lead with the Saints multiple times. The Bruins had the set tied at 20 all, but just ran out of gas as the Saints went on to win the set 25-21 and the match 3-0.

This marathon of a match showed the true competitive spirit of the Bruins and the growth of the program throughout the season. Carolina University truly battled and was led by Tijhmir Glasco. Glasco was everywhere in this one and had 20 assists, 10 digs, 1 block, 1 kill, and 1 ace. Brady Bartlett had a monster game with a career-high 11 kills. Additionally, Steven Wilson had 4 kills and 5 digs, and Ronald Wilson had 4 kills and a team-high 2 aces.

This match concludes the inagural season for the Carolina University Men's Volleyball Team. Keep an eye out for a season recap as well as news and updates for next season and signings of future Bruins!
