GREENVILLE, SC -- Carolina University Baseball traveled to play at Bob Jones University on Friday, March 12th. BJU is hosting a 3 game series with CU that opened with a 9-inning game on Friday night. Carolina University's offense started early with 2 runs in the first inning and never looked back. CU would go on to have 22 hits and score 19 runs, including 3 separate innings of 4 runs or more. Carolina University would win the first game of this rivalry series by a final score of 19-10.
Jacob Ladley started on the mound and used his 8 strikeout performance to earn the win.
Grant Harris went 2-5 and hit his 2nd homerun of the season.
Logan Conklin was incredible going 4-5 including; a double, two triples, 4 RBIs and scored 5 times.
Dino Tharp came alive from the DH spot and went 3-4 with two doubles, a triple, and 4 RBIs.
Josh Kent continued his hot streak going 4-5 at the plate with 3 RBIs and scoring 4 times himself.Â
Carolina University will look to keep the offense going tomorrow when they play Bob Jones University in a double-header. Tomorrow's games are scheduled to go 7 innings each.Â
