GREENVILLE, SC -- Carolina University traveled to play at Bob Jones University on Saturday, February 20th. CU won both of the previous two meetings this season. Each game was very competitive and this one would be no different. The first quarter was tightly contested, but BJU held a 15-14 advantage going into the second. Bob Jones then exploded and extended the lead to 33-22 at halftime. Carolina University responded and won the third quarter by 7 points cutting the BJU lead to 4 heading into the fourth quarter. The backcourt of CU took over in the final period and were the driving force of a 13-0 run.Carolina University would never relinquish the lead and earn the 64-57 victory.
Carolina University again used a balanced attack to earn a victory.
Jada Sleet led the Bruins in scoring with 18 points.
Ni'Jaa Wells dominated the inside with another double-double consisting of 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Ayana Collins was very close to a double-double of her own as she scored 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
Tazah Hardin scored 12 points for the game and 7 of those came as a part of the Bruins' run in the fourth quarter.
The Bruins are now 9-4 and will next plat at Voorhees College on Tuesday, February 23rd. Carolina University narrowly lost to the Tigers earlier this season and will look to even the series on the road.
