A Big Win on the Road for Men's Soccer

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA -- Carolina University Men's Soccer traveled to play against Regent University on Saturday, November 6th. The Bruins entered the game after a day off on the 5th. The Royals of Regent University took an early lead with a goal in the 3rd minute of play, but the Bruins came back strong for the remaining 87 minutes of the game. The first half of play ended in a score of 7-1, and the Bruins went on to score 4 additional goals in the second half. The Bruins of Carolina University fought hard for the entire 90 minutes with an end score of 11-1.

 

The Bruins played a great team game throughout and had meaningful performances from several players. Benjamin Fortuin ended the day with 2 goals and one assist. Luke Spillane-Davis had 3 goals and 2 assists. Nathan Rue had one goal. Pablo Lopez and Mario Salinas had one assist. Francisco Tapia had one goal and 2 assists. Aidan Fletcher had 2 goals. Roberto Martinez had one goal and one assist. Joshua Logan also ended the game with one goal. Benjamin, Nathan, Luke, and Mario all contributed as starters, and the remaining players made their meaningful contributions off the bench. 

 

This was the second victory against the Royals this season. The Bruins took this momentum into the NCCAA South Region Tournament in Lake Wales, FL on Saturday, November 20th.
