WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- Carolina University Women's Volleyball played Bob Jones University as a part of Tri-Match in the Williams Gymnasium on Saturday, October 30th at 6:00PM. Carolina University and Bob Jones University are regularly competitive and typical rivals in the NCCAA. Earlier this season, BJU beat CU in Greenville, SC, but that was not the story tonight. Carolina University jumped all over the #1 ranked Bob Jones University in the first set with a 25-16 victory and followed it with a 25-11 win in set two. BJU tried to comeback in the third set, but it wasn't enough as CU would win 25-23. Carolina University swept Bob Jones 3-0 in a big night cap victory at home.
Caroina University had some key contributions led by
Chiara Mottola. Mottola had a match-high 13 kills, was credited with a block, and 10 digs.
Kamra King also had a big game with a match-high 27 assists and also got 8 digs.
Regan Adams led the team and match with 15 digs.
Destinee Hardamon and
Kylie Kay each had 7 kills as a part of the win.
Carolina University improved to 10-7 with the win and has 2 games remaining in the regular season. The Bruins will host Emory & Henry College on Tuesday, November 2nd at 6:30PM. Carolina University will also host St. Andrews University on Thursday, November 4th at 6:00PM. The final game of the season on November 4th will also serve as Senior Night for the Bruins!
