WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- Carolina University hosted NCCAA Campbellsville-Harrodsburg for a game on Tuesday, October 26th. The Bruins dominated statistical possession, but couldn't turn that into goals. Meanwhile, the Pioneers were able to score in the 13th minute and 28th minute to take a 2-0 lead at the half. Coach Neal and his staff were able to right the ship at intermission. The Bruins came out strong in the second half and scored twice within the first 10 minutes to tie the game. Then in the 66th minute CU took the lead at 3-2. The Bruins were able to hang on to secure the home victory!
Again, the Bruins were balanced on offense as
Sidney Smith,
Sarah Walters, and
Mary Jester each scored a goal. Jester scored the game winner and was assisted by Emelyn Sotelo.Â
Carolina University moved to 7-8 after the win and will play on the road at Bluefield State tomorrow. The Bruins will take on the Blues in Bluefield, WV with a 5:00PM kick-off on Wednesday, October 27th.
