Women's Volleyball Dominates in Road Win

AUGUSTA, GA -- Carolina University Women's Volleyball traveled to NCCAA opponent, Paine College, for a match on Tuesday, October 19th. The Bruins aimed to get back to .500 and build some momentum for the home stretch of the season. It didn't look good early as the Lions went on an 8-0 run to build a 16-7 lead. The Bruins slowly began to chip away at the lead and fought all the way back to take the first set 25-22. That victory gave CU the confidence to take care of business in the second set as they earned a 25-18 victory. The third set was dominated by the Bruins 25-15 on their way to a 3-0 victory.

The Bruins really seem to be finding their stride as a unit and multiple players are contributing. Sarah Pickett had a strong outing with 6 kills and 11 digs. Regan Adams and Kamra King helped solidify the defense with 11 digs each. King also got back on track with a match-high 20 assists. Many of which were to Destinee Hardamon who had a match-high 13 kills. Hardamon continues to impress as a true freshman and is nationally ranked in several offensive categories.

Carolina University now moves to 7-7 on the season with a big match at Belmont Abbey looming over the weekend. The Bruins will take on the Crusaders on Saturday, October 23rd in Belmont, NC. The match will begin at 2:00 PM with LiveStream and LiveStats links available on cubruins.com
