EMORY, VA -- Carolina University Men's Soccer traveled to play at Emory & Henry College on Saturday, October 16th. The night match was a part of the Wasps' Homecoming weekend, and there was a strong turnout. Emory & Henry used that energy to score early and take the 1-0 lead. However, the Bruins would not be fazed. Carolina University responded with 3 goals in 5 minutes of game time. The Bruins held on to a 3-1 halftime lead and didn't stop there. The CU lead would get to 5-1 midway through the second half and the Bruins could then cruise to earn a 5-2 road victory.
Carolina University was led by
Nathan Rue who had a role in all 5 goals for the Bruins. Rue (2) found the back of the net at the 27:32 mark and assisted on the other 4 CU goals on the night.

Owen Vaughan (2), and
Rhys Thomas (1) each scored a goal in this game.
The Bruins move up to 6-6 on the season and will have a quick turn-around. Carolina University will take the field in just a couple of days when they host Warren Wilson College on Monday, October 18th at 7:30 PM.Â
