CLEMMONS, NC - The Lady Bruins softball team dropped their double-header verse Bryan College, 2-8 and 0-8, on Monday (Feb. 17).
Game One
PIU got off to a 2-1 lead with runs from
Missy Smith and
Lyric Ryan in the second inning. Maintaining the lead for two innings, Bryan College would come back to score three runs in the fourth. Bryan College would add a run each inning following.
Savanna Noble pitched four innings for the Bruins, allowing eight hits and four runs.
Natalie Jones came in as relief for three.
Jessi Gray led the team with three hits, while Ryan and
Missy Smith added two each.
Game Two
Bryan College collected all the runs in game two with an 8-0 score.
The Lady Bruins were able to register four hits from
Maggie Smith,
Missy Smith, Ryan, and Gray. Ryan pitched the whole game, allowing 14 hits and eight runs.
PIU will be on the road on Monday (Feb. 24) as they face Ferrum College at 2 and 4 PM.
