ELIZABETH CITY, NC -- Carolina University Women's Basketball traveled to play Mid-Atlantic Christian University on Friday, November 20th. The Bruins entered the game on a 3 game win streak including a home win over the Mustangs on November 10th. The game started off very close, but CU took a 15-13 edge after the first quarter. After another defensive quarter, the Bruins were up 3 at the half. The Mustangs hung around and tied the game before entering the fourth quarter. The Bruins came up just short, dropping this game 51-49.
Jada Sleet led the Bruins with 15 points and chipped in 7 rebounds.
Ni'Jaa Wells continued her strong Freshman campaign with 7 points and 13 rebounds. Carolina University now stands at 3-2 with one game remaining before the Holiday Break. The Bruins will host St. Andrews University on Monday, November 23rd.
