WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- Carolina University Women's Volleyball hosted Johnson University (TN) on Monday, October 26th. The Bruins lost to the Royals in Knoxville just two weeks prior, but didn't let that hold them back. The Bruins came out strong and won the first game 25-19. Johnson University battled back and took the second game 25-20. The Royals started the third set strong as well and took an early lead. However, the Bruins found something in the middle of the set and rattled off 7 consecutive points to take the lead. CU would never look back and win 25-18. The Bruins carried that same momentum in the fourth set and took care of business again to closeout out the match. The CU Women were fantastic and used the 3-1 victory to even the season series.
Carolina University was led by the duo ofÂ
Chiara Mottola and
Kamra King. Mottola dominated the net and set a career high of 22 kills along with 4 blocks. King assisted on many of those as she set a career mark with 48 total assists.

Alessandra Sendler also got in on the action recording 12 and 13 kills respectively. On defense,
Regan Adams is starting to come into her own. Adams is rapidly improving during her freshman season and recorded 22 digs setting another personal best. Despite many incredible individual performances, the Bruins continue to be a true team. Coach
Brenn Ferguson deployed 11 different players during this match and each one was able to contribute in their role.
