TOCCOA, GA -- Carolina University Women's Volleyball took on Toccoa Falls College in a road match on Tuesday, October 20th. The Bruins grew stronger each game and won the match 3-0. The first game was very back and forth with each team going on runs, but they locked at 22. Carolina University was able to score the final 3 points of the game and win the first game 25-22. The Bruins found more of a groove in the second game winning it with a final score of 25-19. It was all CU in the third game as they went on a 10-0 run and a separate 9-0 run to win 25-13 and sweep the match.
Regan Adams was excellent for the Bruins in this match leading the team and setting career highs with 5 aces and 19 digs.
Rebecca Walker had 3 aces to go with 10 digs.
Kamra King also bounced back and had 24 assists and 3 aces in the shortened match.
Head Coach
Brenn Ferguson was happy to get the win and complimented her girls for settling in and finding a rhythm as the match went on. However, she and the Bruins feel they can improve. Ferguson said, "We can still be better defensively and we will be locked in on that in practice as we prepare for our final home swing next week."
Carolina University will host Johnson University on Monday, October 26th and Alice Lloyd College on Friday, October 30th. The Bruins will look to finish strong on the season and secure both matches against fellow NCCAA opponents.
