ADVANCE, NC - The PIU Lady Bruins (3-2-1) grabbed a comfortable victory on Tuesday night as they beat the Toccoa Falls Eagles by a score of 6-0.
Senior forward
Kelsie Ramirez stole the headlines, grabbing four goals on the night. Freshman forward
Adellah McManus was the one to score the opener in the 3rd minute from sophomore
Cierra Josey who played her in on goal for a powerful left-footed finish.
Ramirez wouldn't wait long to join the scoresheet as she scored in the 13th minute when freshman midfielder
Trinity Gray found her for a left-footed finish. Ramirez doubled her tally in the 16th when senior midfielder
Ashli Mincey assisted her.
Halftime saw a 3-0 scoreline in favor of the Lady Bruins. After the break, Ramirez scored twice in 94 seconds in the 56th and 57th minutes as the lead soared to 5-0.
The final goal came in the 72nd minute from
Cierra Josey.
Sheila Aguilar squared a pass to Josey for a one-time finish into the top of the net.
The Lady Bruins will look to build on the win as they travel to Greenville, SC on Friday where they will take on Bob Jones University at 6 PM.
