WILSON, NC - Piedmont took on Barton College for their final regular-season match, where a scoreless second half for both sides would lead to a Barton win, 2-1.

Barton would be the first to capitalize, with goals from Omar Aboutaleb (7:36) and Tobias Nielson (42:25). With 16 seconds left on the clock in the first half, PIU was able to get on the board with a goal from Mario Salinas.

Despite the terrific effort, the second half would remain quiet. PIU's goalie Jeremiah Gibbs recorded five save on the night. 

The Bruins finish the regular season with a 8-6-2 record and qualify for the NCCAA South Regional tournament.
