Winston-Salem, NC -- The PIU Bruins (5-9) came out with a win during their first game of 2019 against the Bluefield College Rams (10-5), 73-62.

It was a hot night for Tamir Glenn as he collected season highs in five categories: field goal attempts, 3-point field goals attempts and made, rebounds and assists. Glenn posted 21 points (6 3-point field goals), 13 rebounds, and 6 assists.

PIU led the Rams for the entirety of the game with their largest lead being 18 points in the last minute of the game. Colton Bishop put up 16 points and 4 rebounds. Adding to the Bruins victory, Curtis Coleman Jr. and China Jones put up 12 and 7 points.

The Bruins have a quick turn around and will be back at home on Monday for an afternoon match against NCAA DII Newberry College.
