PIU Drops to Guilford with OT Golden Goal

Greensboro, NC -- Back on the road again, Piedmont International University fell to Guilford College on a golden goal in the 102nd minute on Monday night.

It was a solid performance for the Bruins (2-3) as they racked up 25 shots and forced 12 saves from Zach Van Kampen, the Quakers goalkeeper, but they couldn't manage the breakthrough.

Marco Diaz and Brayan Gomez led the Bruins in shots with 6 a piece, while Tony Ramirez managed 4 saves in the game. The Quakers totaled 20 shots in the game with a 3-1 advantage in the overtime periods.

The Bruins will look forward to coming back home as they take on Emmanuel College Saturday at 2:30 PM at BB&T Soccer Park.
