As a Freshman
Syvannah competed in 24 matches for the Blue and Gold in her first season, tallying 244 assists, 135 digs, and 29 kills. She was honored as the Female-Bruin of the Year.

Poore attended Cedar Hill High School, where she earned all-district honors.

Personal
 After graduating with her bachelor's degree in biology, Syvannah plans to pursue her master's and doctorate. Her favorite Bible verse is Romans 12:10.
