Kimiere Hawkins is entering her first season as the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Carolina University. In the 2023-2024 season, Hawkins led the Bruins to an impressive 16-9 record, reaching the NCCAA National Tournament and finishing as the national runner-up. Her leadership helped elevate the program to new heights, showcasing her ability to foster talent and build a competitive team.
Hawkins previously served at Langston University, where she guided the Lions to multiple NAIA All-American honors and a deep run in the conference tournament. Before her time at Langston, she enjoyed a successful season at Talladega College, assisting the Lady Tornadoes to the conference tournament championship game and a second-round appearance in the NAIA National Tournament.
Her coaching career began at LSU Shreveport, where she earned her Master of Arts in Educational Leadership. During her tenure with the Pilots, the team won the conference tournament and competed in the NAIA National Tournament, solidifying her reputation as an effective coach and leader.
Originally from Moreno Valley, California, Hawkins holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Southern Utah University. As a player, she excelled at Vista Del Lago High School and later at Mt. San Antonio Junior College, where she earned First Team All-Conference honors before continuing her career at Southern Utah University as part of their NCAA Division I program.
With her extensive coaching experience and commitment to player development, Hawkins is poised to continue leading the Bruins to success.
