Megan LaVacca is the Athletic Trainer for Carolina University's student-athletes. Growing up, LaVacca was active in sports and knew she wanted to help people. When recovering from sport injuries, she was exposed to sports medicine and her journey to becoming an Athletic Trainer began.
Education: LaVacca graduated from East Carolina University, receiving her Bachelor’s degree and certification as an Athletic Trainer. She went on to graduate school and in May 2018 earned her Master’s Degree from Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ.
Professional: During her time in New Jersey, LaVacca worked as a Per Diem Athletic Trainer throughout the state of NJ, as well as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Pascack Valley High school.
Personal: Lavacca is originally from New Jersey but has spent most of her life in Holly Springs, NC. When she isn’t caring for her athletes, LaVacca enjoys drawing, playing tennis and spending time with her family.
