Jamie Lowe is entering his second season as Head Baseball Coach at Carolina University. Before serving as Head Coach, Jamie was the Associate Head Coach for the 2019 season.
Education:Â Lowe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Lenior-Rhyne University in 1992. He then went on to get his teaching certification in Physical Education K-12 from Winston-Salem State in 1998.
Collegiate:Â After being a three-sport athlete and Athlete of the Year at Surry Central High School, Jamie went on to play college baseball at Lenior-Rhyne University.
Professional:Â Lowe joins the Bruins with an immense amount of coaching experience at the high school and college level. Jamie started his coaching career as the Head Baseball Coach at North Forsyth High School. Compiling a 109-27 record over five years, Lowe led the Raiders to four Conference championships, three Conference Tournament championships, and two Western Regionals. Jamie was named Metro 4A Coach of the Year in 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005.Â
During his last year of coaching at North Forsyth (2006), the team went undefeated in the regular season, 24-0, with an overall record of 30-2. The team was WS/FC Tournament Champions, NC 4A Western Regional Runner-Up, finished #2 in final NCHSAA ranking, and were ranked as high as #7 Nationally by Sports Illustrated and Baseball America. After an incredible season, Lowe was named Region 5 Coach of the Year, NCHSAA Coach of the Year Runner-up, and received State Games Coach Region 5 Gold Medal.
After his time at North Forsyth, Jamie took a coaching position for American Legion Baseball in Winston-Salem. He coached there for nine years before becoming the Head Coach of the Statesville Owls in the Southern Colligate Baseball League. From 2009-2015, Lowe served as the Head Baseball Coach at Surry Community College, where his 2011 team was nationally ranked #24, and his 2012 team was Region X Runner-Ups with a national ranking of 18 and 42-14 record. Jamie spent his two years before coming to Piedmont International University as a private hitting and pitching instructor in Wilmington, NC.
In his many years of coaching, Lowe has instructed eight professional athletes.
