BLUEFIELD, Va. — The Carolina University Bruins baseball team fell in both games of a Tuesday afternoon doubleheader at Bluefield University, dropping Game 1, 9–2, and Game 2, 6–2. The matchup came after the Bruins lost a weekend series to Toccoa Falls, as Carolina continues to search for momentum heading into a key road stretch.
Associate Head Coach Logan Conklin emphasized resilience following the setbacks:
"We've got to stay locked in and keep competing. There are positives we can build on, but we need to clean up the small details and respond with energy heading into this weekend."

Carolina dropped the opener 9–2 despite flashes of production early.
Bluefield jumped out quickly, scoring two runs in the first inning and adding to their lead with a big third and fourth inning. A five-RBI performance from Bluefield's Chris Johnson proved to be the difference-maker.
The Bruins got on the board in the second inning when Jacob Ananias grounded into a double play that brought home Andres Hoyos. Carolina added another run in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Daniel Isbell.

The Bruins showed early life in Game 2 but were unable to keep pace in a 6–2 loss.
Carolina struck first on a solo home run by Ty Vespe in the opening inning. After Bluefield answered and took control with a three-run second inning, the Bruins chipped away in the fifth as Dj Biggers scored on a wild pitch.
However, Bluefield added insurance runs in the sixth inning to secure the sweep.
