Box Score Misenheimer, N.C. — September 20, 2025 — Carolina University Women's Soccer earned a commanding 5–1 victory on the road at Pfeiffer University on Saturday afternoon, spoiling the Falcons' Homecoming weekend at Lefko-Mills Field.
The Bruins wasted no time setting the tone, striking just 44 seconds into the match when Natalie Puskar netted the opening goal. Less than 12 minutes later, Alexa Anderson doubled the lead with a composed finish. Puskar continued her strong performance, tallying her second goal in the 26th minute off an assist from McKenna VonCannon, sending CU into halftime with a commanding 3–0 advantage.
Pfeiffer managed to pull one back in the 61st minute through Corinne Browning, but Carolina University quickly reasserted control. Puskar completed her hat trick in the 82nd minute, and just moments later, VonCannon added a goal of her own, assisted by Puskar, to close out the decisive win.
On the day, CU outshot Pfeiffer 14–7 and held a 6–2 edge in corner kicks. Puskar led the attack with three goals and one assist, while VonCannon contributed a goal and an assist. Anderson rounded out the scoring with her early first-half strike. Goalkeepers Waleska Gonzalez and Alona Locklear split time in net, combining for two saves.
Head Coach Boo Tesh praised the team's execution:
"We've been talking all season about starting fast and playing with confidence. Today, the players delivered on both fronts. Natalie's performance was outstanding, but overall, this was a total team effort, and I'm proud of how we responded on the road in a big environment," said Coach Tesh.
With the victory, Carolina University improves to 1-6-2 on the season, while Pfeiffer falls to 0-5-0.
