WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Carolina University Women's Soccer team continues its early-season slate with a home matchup against Columbia International University on Tuesday evening.
The Bruins enter the contest with a 0-2-1 record after battling to a hard-fought 1-1 draw against the University of Rio Grande (Ohio) in their most recent outing. That result marked Carolina's first tie of the season, following narrow setbacks in their opening matches. Head Coach Boo Tesh and the squad will look to build on the positive momentum of their latest performance as they take the field in front of the home crowd.
Columbia International comes into the midweek clash with a 1-1 record. The Rams opened their season with a victory but are coming off a loss to Edward Waters University. CIU will look to bounce back quickly and will present a strong challenge with their balanced attack and disciplined defensive play.
For Carolina, this matchup is an opportunity to continue to grow as a team and continue establishing rhythm and consistency on both ends of the field. The Bruins have shown promise in possession and organization through their first three matches, and will aim to turn those strides into a winning result.
