Carolina University Women’s Soccer Opens 2025 Season on the Road at Pikeville

Winston-Salem, N.C. – The Carolina University Women's Soccer team is set to kick off its 2025 campaign on the road this weekend as the Bruins travel to face the University of Pikeville in Kentucky. The season-opening matchup will take place on Saturday, August 23, marking the first official contest of the new year for Head Coach Boo Tesh and his squad.

The Bruins enter the season with high expectations after a productive preseason that showcased both experienced returners and an energetic freshman class. Carolina will be aiming to build on last season's growth as they continue to make strides within the NCCAA and NAIA competition.

Pikeville, a member of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC), provides a challenging test right out of the gate. The Bears are known for their physical style of play and will look to defend home turf in their opener.

For Carolina, this road match presents an opportunity to establish rhythm early and set the tone for the season. Leadership from returning veterans, combined with contributions from new additions, will be crucial as the Bruins look to come away with a positive result.

Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 PM in Pikeville, Kentucky. Fans can follow live updates through Carolina University Athletics' website and official social media channels throughout the match.
