A lifelong resident of Asheboro, North Carolina, Arrington brings a wealth of experience in athletics and education to this pivotal role. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation and Parks Management with a concentration in Community Recreation and Event Planning from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG).
Prior to joining Carolina University, Arrington spent eight years at Wake Forest University, serving three years as a full-time staff member and five years as a dedicated volunteer. During his tenure, he was responsible for the comprehensive laundry operations for all Olympic sports, managing the needs of approximately 210 student-athletes on a daily basis. His responsibilities included overseeing a team of 10 student managers who assisted with the organization and distribution of clean laundry and other assigned tasks.
Furthermore, Arrington held direct oversight responsibilities for the Women's Volleyball and Track and Field programs. This included managing the ordering and distribution of athletic gear to student-athletes in these sports.
Arrington's deep connection to education and athletics spans his entire life. He is the son of a retired football coach with 31 years of experience and a 25-year veteran of the school system, and a mother who dedicated 29 years to teaching second grade. Before transitioning to collegiate athletics, Arrington himself spent five years as a Middle and High School Mathematics teacher.
Driven by a commitment to student success, Arrington is known for his strong work ethic and dedication to ensuring tasks are completed with precision and accuracy. His passions for sports, technology, and numbers align perfectly with the demands of sports information. He is enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to the success of Carolina University's student-athletes and be an integral part of their competitive journey.
"Everything I do, I do for the kids because I want them to be successful. I get to watch athletes succeed and be able to be a small part while they are competing at Carolina University. I am happy to be here and ready to get started," says Arrington. He is eager to begin his work at Carolina University and contribute to the continued growth and success of its athletic programs.
