Bluefield, VA – Carolina University battled hard but fell 3-2 to Bluefield University in a tight matchup on March 25, 2025. The Bruins tied the game twice but couldn't overcome Bluefield's late push.
Bluefield took an early lead in the first inning, but Carolina answered in the second when
Antonio Biggers stole second and scored on an RBI single by
Nick Franklin. The game remained tied until the sixth, when Bluefield pulled ahead 2-1. Carolina responded in the seventh, capitalizing on an error to even the score again.
Despite the loss,
Keanan White led Carolina offensively, going 3-for-4. Franklin and
Abdiel Santana-Carrasquillo each drove in a run.
Alex Prevost pitched well, allowing two earned runs over five innings. N. Burtner earned the win for Bluefield, while T. Woods picked up his seventh save.
