Carolina University hosted Grace College for a doubleheader on March 1, 2025, at Wilson Park. The two teams split the series, with Grace taking the first game 8-4 before Carolina responded with a 6-5 comeback win in game two.

Game 1: Grace Jumps Ahead Early, Holds Off Carolina for 8-4 Win

Grace College capitalized on early scoring opportunities, posting five runs in the first two innings to take control. Carolina struggled to generate offense early, going scoreless through the first four frames.

A three-run fifth inning gave the Bruins some life, with Danielle Brooks delivered a clutch two-RBI single up the middle, bringing home ZyMaijah Thomas and Nicole Otto. 

However, Grace answered in the sixth with three more runs, taking advantage of Carolina's defensive errors to extend their lead to 8-3. The Bruins managed one more run in the seventh, but C. Huff closed out a complete game for Grace.

Game 2: Carolina Rallies Late for a 6-5 Victory

In the second game, Grace once again struck first, scoring a run in the second and four more in the third. S. Ladig's two-run double gave Grace a commanding 5-0 lead.

Carolina answered in the fourth, scoring three runs on a ball that made it to the fence after a misread from the Lancer's outfield, cutting the deficit to 5-3.

In the fifth, the Bruins struck again. Bre Payne laced a two-RBI double, tying the game at 5-5. One batter later, Cameryn Hays delivered a clutch RBI double to right-center, putting Carolina ahead 6-5.

Madison Hamilton took control on the mound, tossing a complete game and shutting down Grace over the final four innings. Despite giving up several hits, Hamilton limited the damage, stranding runners in scoring position in both the sixth and seventh innings to seal the win.
