Carolina University Falls to St. Andrews in Four-Set Battle

Carolina University's men's volleyball team put up a fight but ultimately fell to St. Andrews University in a four-set match on March 11, 2025, at Williams Gymnasium. Despite taking the first set, the Bruins were unable to hold off the Knights, who secured their first win of the season with set scores of 25-27, 25-12, 25-14, and 27-25.

Carolina started strong, edging out St. Andrews in an intense first set. Led by Darren Lowe Gaillard, who posted an impressive .818 hitting percentage with nine kills on 11 attempts, the Bruins capitalized on their offensive momentum early. 

However, the Knights responded with dominant performances in sets two and three, holding Carolina to a hitting percentage below .100 in both frames. Khushpreet Sandhu spearheaded St. Andrews' offense with 17 kills, while Kaleb Middleton provided stability with 30 assists and three service aces.

The fourth set saw a resurgence from Carolina, as they pushed St. Andrews to extra points. Despite strong defensive efforts from Kai Jamerson (seven digs) and Friedrich Hall (three aces), the Bruins fell just short, allowing St. Andrews to close out the match 27-25.
