Bluefield, VA – The Carolina University Men's Volleyball team faced off against the Bluefield University Rams, suffering a 0-3 sweep with set scores of 18-25, 10-25, and 12-25.
Despite their relentless effort, the Bruins couldn't manage to take a set from the Rams. Wesley Diggs led the defense with 11 digs, while Jashawn Sykes followed closely behind with 5 digs. Sykes also contributed offensively, leading the team with 4 kills. However, the Bruins struggled to maintain consistent ball control, which hindered their offensive rhythm and limited the involvement of their middle hitters. Although the team put up a strong defensive performance, they were unable to put the pieces together to mount a successful attack.
The Men's Volleyball team will look to bounce back on Friday, February 14th, when they host Reinhardt University at 4:00 PM.
