October 17, 2025 | Charlotte, N.C.The Carolina University Bruins continued their strong play Thursday night with a decisive 3–0 sweep (25–13, 25–20, 25–20) over Johnson & Wales University–Charlotte, improving to 18–9 on the season. The victory caps a productive stretch for the Bruins, who showcased balance, efficiency, and depth across all phases of the match.

Carolina University dominated the opening set, taking control early behind the attacking power of Britney Comolli, who tallied a match-high 14 kills on a .400 hitting percentage. Kammi Naudé followed with 8 kills at an impressive .538 clip, while SarahElizabeth Samuel added 8 kills and contributed on defense with 6 digs.
Setter Syvannah Poore guided the offense masterfully, recording 21 assists and 8 digs, while Natalia Cano chipped in 11 assists and 2 service aces. On the back row, Kai Horta led the Bruins with 16 digs, and Comolli added 15 points total to her standout performance.
As a team, Carolina University hit an efficient .299 for the match, compared to Johnson & Wales' .206, and controlled momentum through consistent serving and strong defensive transitions.

"We played with great focus and energy tonight," said Head Coach Chelsea Jones. "Our team executed the game plan well and stayed disciplined in tough points. I'm really proud of the way our players supported each other and maintained composure throughout all three sets."
Looking Ahead
The Bruins will enjoy a week off before returning home to host a Tri-Match on Thursday, October 24, featuring Washington Adventist University and Bob Jones University. The event will also serve as Senior Night, honoring the program's graduating student-athletes for all their contributions to the volleyball program.
