Lady Bruins Shut Out Toccoa Falls, 3–0, Behind Strong First Half

The Carolina University Women's Soccer team earned an impressive 3–0 road victory over Toccoa Falls College on Tuesday evening at the TCF Soccer Complex. The Lady Bruins wasted no time establishing control, scoring all three goals in the first half before closing out the match with a composed defensive performance.

Carolina dominated the match statistically, outshooting the Eagles 25–0 and earning nine corner kicks while holding Toccoa Falls without a single shot attempt. The Lady Bruins' aggressive first-half attack set the tone early and proved decisive.

Scoring Summary

Carolina broke through in the 29th minute when Anna Pemberton netted her first goal of the season, assisted by Peyton Battilla. Just over ten minutes later, Alexa Anderson from 25 yards out extended the lead to 2–0 with her fourth goal of the season. Before halftime, Battilla added a goal of her own in the 44th minute, assisted by Chelsea Prescott, to give Carolina a commanding 3–0 advantage.

Goalkeepers Waleska Gonzalez and Laurel Collins combined for the shutout, splitting time evenly between the posts, while the defensive unit anchored by Kyara Gonzalez, Alexa Anderson, and Karmen Smith stifled the Toccoa Falls attack all evening.

Head Coach Boo Tesh praised his team's performance and focus:

"I'm really proud of how we came out and executed tonight. The girls moved the ball well, created chances, and finished opportunities early. It was a total team effort on both sides of the ball, and it's great to see their hard work pay off with another shutout on the road."

The Lady Bruins return to action for their next matchup, as they travel to Lawrenceville, GA and start CAC play. Thursday October 16, Carolina Women's Soccer play Florida National at 4 p.m. and then return to action and face Georgia Gwinnett on Friday October 17.
