Augusta, GA - Carolina University Softball clashed with Trinity Baptist University in their third game of the NCCAA South Region tournament today, clinching a commanding 9-0 victory over the Eagles. Next, the Bruins faced off against the University of Fort Lauderdale Eagles in another intense match-up. 

Game 1- Trinity Baptist University 

In the 1st inning, the Bruins capitalized on the Eagles' errors, advancing twice on wild pitches. Despite the challenges, the Bruins managed to get on base with a double from Grace Johnson and a single from Grace Andrews.

To cap off today's match-up, Johnson sealed the deal with a walk-off home run, ending game 3 and propelling the Bruins forward. Four Bruins scored doubles, and Senior Andrews contributed three RBIs. This 9-0 victory advanced the Bruins to the Regional Championship, where they will once again take on the Eagles of Fort Lauderdale. 

Pitching for the Bruins was Danielle Brooks, who tallied 4 strikeouts and 0 errors.

Game 2- The University of Fort Lauderdale

In the second game, the Bruins squared off once again against the Fort Lauderdale Eagles for the second time in the tournament. However, despite their efforts, the Bruins couldn't overcome the Eagles and suffered a 0-5 defeat.

Kourtney Cox and Grace Johnson were the sole Bruins to record hits, yet unfortunately, no runs were scored by the Blue and Gold.

Pitching for the Bruins were Danielle Brooks for 2 innings and Madison Hamilton for 7 innings.

Which brings your Carolina University Bruins 2024 Softball season to a close. The Blue and Gold went 24-20 this season, and 2-2 at Regional's.
