Danville, VA- In today's match Carolina University Men's volleyball (4-5) battled Averett University (0-7) in a quick away game. 

The Blue and Gold began the match with a dominating lead making the score 9-1, the Bruins did not take their foot off the gas. Completing the first set 25-7 hitting at 0.611%, "It was a great offensive performance tonight." "We were really able to execute tonight" says Coach Alewine

Freshman right side Austin Jeter had 11 kills tonight along with 3 aces. Another notable performer from tonight's match is Andrews Jackson with 6 aces and Mason Kenna with 10 kills. "All weekend and early this week it has been about limiting unforced errors I'm really proud of how they responded when I challenged them to a certain number of unforced errors." Coach Alewine says. The Bruins were able to set a new school record, hitting .600% in the match. Making it the highest the team has ever hit in a match, in school history. 

The Bruins will be at home this weekend as they take on Cumberland University Saturday, February 23 at 4 pm.
