Virginia Beach, VA- Tonight Carolina University Women's Basketball (9-7) traveled to Virginia Beach to battle Regent University (7-13).
Women's Basketball battled and suffered a tough loss tonight, in the first quarter the Bruins scored 20 to Regents 26 points. Only down by six the Blue and Gold fought and scored 18-16 in the second, 16-14 in the third, and 22-22 in the fourth. In the end, the Bruins fell short 76-78, Regent had established a stronger lead in the first quarter while the Bruins continued to battle back in a valiant effort.
Tonight's outstanding athletes were Shamaya Loman and DenAsia Mitchell. Shamaya Loman made the game her own tonight scoring 27 points with 7 rebounds, along with DenAsia Mitchell earning a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
The Bruins will be back in action on the road this Thursday, February 15 at Washington Adventist University at 5:30 pm.
