Advance, NC – Carolina University Men's Soccer faced off against West Virginia University Institute of Technology in an exciting matchup, where the Bruins emerged victorious with a final score of 3-2.
The Bears struck first in the first half with a penalty kick, taking an early lead. However, the Bruins responded quickly, with Luke Spillane-Davis finding the back of the net, assisted by Jose Noriega.
The Bruins continued their momentum at the start of the second half, as Spillane-Davis scored again, bringing the score to 2-1. The final goal for the Bruins came from Robin Salge, assisted by Owen Vaughan. The Bears managed to add one more goal before the final whistle, but the Bruins held on for the 3-2 victory.
The Bruins will be back in action on Wednesday, facing Johnson and Wales University at 6:00 PM.
