Winston-Salem, NC- Carolina University Women's Volleyball faced off against Bob Jones University tonight in a thrilling battle of the Bruins. Your Bruins made quick work of Bob Jones, winning in four hard-fought sets: 25-19, 25-22, 23-25, and 25-22.
The match began with a tightly contested first set, marked by a series of back-and-forth exchanges. Ultimately, Carolina edged out Bob Jones 25-19, setting the tone for the match. Sarah Elizabeth Samuels led the offensive charge, tallying 10 kills, supported by senior setter Kamra King, who recorded 26 assists. The Bruins continued their momentum into the second set, securing it with relative ease.
However, in the third set, the Blue and Gold lost some of their rhythm and dropped the set to Bob Jones. On the defensive end, Rebecca Walker stood out, contributing 14 digs to help anchor the team's defense. Undeterred, the Bruins rallied in the fourth set, reclaiming control to secure the win.
The Bruins will be back in action next Tuesday, the 22nd, as they face off against Paine College at 5:00 PM.
